My Turbulent Teens: A Mixtape Diary

The Best Songs Come from Commercials...
Hands Down. I may not always buy into the advertising, but the songwriter ALWAYS gains a listener.
Sometimes you hear songs that really annoy you (I’ll keep my opinion to myself…but there are LOTS.) But sometimes you get the ones that move you and compel you to listen to more than the 20 second commercial snippet. I’m thinking that the The Temper Trap is one of those artists....

So I was listening to All Songs Considered...
…and they were talking about albums that got you through those turbulent teen years. I started reliving my teen years (Because that’s what we LOVE to do, right?) I was awkward during those teen years (MAJOR nerd…and proud). I remember there were days, good and bad, that I just retreated to my room and listened to music all day. I mean ALL DAY. Music was my life for a brief...
